We really don’t get too many chances a year to get out and fish for fun because usually our days off are because of weather.  Last week Capt Stephen, and Robert and I got a shot at getting out offshore to fish a late afternoon/night trip.  I’m sure everyone heard about this “super moon”, or the largest moon supposedly in what could be our lifetime. Well we didn’t hesitate on going this time, we pushed out to grab some bait around 1pm and pushed offshore to the area we wanted to fish.   Hit two drops for red grouper which produced a limit of red grouper fairly quickly.  Then slid over to a spot we wanted to fish on for the night for some mangrove snapper and proceeded to throw a couple handfuls of sand chum in the water to try to get the mangs fired up.   We then dropped some nice pinfish to the bottom and doubled up on nice keeper gag grouper. Before you know it we had a limit of Gags up to 30″ and had the mangroves eating flat lined pinfish on the surface behind the boat.  That super moon bite was epic and we got to throw a few filets in our freezer for a change!#naplesfishingboat #captainrobertson
